It is very important to eat good food for physical and mental health. And, most of the time we forget about our brain food that nourish our brain wellness and keep its function smooth and Optimum.


Think of the brain as a Guitar - where its 6 strings should be tuned properly to get good Music same way, Brain has very complex structure with 85+ billion neurons that transmits messages and should be taken proper care by proving good food and nutrition. Our brain needs variety of nutrients to get energy and to perform many different tasks daily.


There are many Foods available in the market but we should be aware of the foods which enhance the brain nutritional values.


So we will tell you about some of the Foods which can keep your brain health charged.


Avocado

Avocado is the perfect fruit to add on in any dish. Its taste is mild with creamy texture. It has vitamins E, Omega 3, Guacamole and many more to keep our brains nourished.



 Avocados consumption should be in moderate level due to its calorie levels. And they contain monounsaturated fats that help with blood pressure, hypertension and blood circulation. Half avocado a day can be the best for brain health.


Broccoli


Broccoli is high in vitamin K, a super food that generally improves memory, as well as helps in the learning process. Greens leafy vegetables like kale or Brussels sprouts are also rich in vitamin K.



Broccoli is the same as Cauliflower but green in colour and has more nutrients than cauliflower. Majority broccoli is used in salads and soups and even you can consume it raw, it is very healthy for Brain.

Nuts are the most favourable source of vitamin and mineral. There are several types of nuts and most of them are enriched with their essential oil that contains vitamins and minerals e.g. Cashew nut, Walnut, Almond, hazelnut, pine nuts, Brazil nuts etc.

High levels of this amino acid are associated with cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease. Walnuts also contain a ton of vitamin E, which helps prevent cognitive decline in the elderly.

Green tea has been used from hundreds of years in many countries. Recently  it is listed as super food due to its amazing benefits. It helps in brain focusing, powerful antioxidant and rich in catechins and isoflavones that helps in cardiovascular problems along with Alzheimer disease. 



Catechins can help reduce levels of amyloid protein, main reason for cell death in Alzheimer's. It is also increase alertness and concentration that facilitates memory Processing.


Pumpkin

We usually think of pumpkins as being used for 2 things: Halloween or pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. But pumpkin really is one of those foods you can't do without.



You can make pumpkin cream, bake it like squash, or add it to your favourite sauté. Pumpkin is a powerful antioxidant and rich in folic acid. It will keep you sharp, improve processing speed and help improve memory. Add this brain food to your shopping list, even if it's not fall.



Olive Oil

Olive oil is an antioxidant and it act as protection shield for our brain from free radicals. It is also great for heart health and blood circulation, which allows the brain to get all the nutrients and energy it needs to function.

This little blue fruit is considered a super-fruit by nutritionists and natural remedy-lovers alike. And now, science has come forward and jumped on the band wagon.



Some studies, conducted at Tufts University in Boston, showed that a diet rich in blueberries improved memory and loss of balance and coordination in aging rats, which helped regenerate their brains.
